Women of Distinction

November 13-15, 2009

The Women of Distinction is a FREE program for high school seniors at Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts for African American, Latina, Asian American, and Native American students. Participants in this three-day program will explore Smith College and determine whether it might be an appropriate college choice for them. Smith College is a leader among liberal arts colleges and the only women’s college with a major in engineering.

Admission to Women of Distinction is a competitive process based on academic and personal qualities.  Smith will provide round-trip transportation, meals and accommodations for all participants. Application must be received at Smith by September 25, 2009 including a copy of high school transcript and guidance counselor’s signature. All applicants will be notified in writing by October 12, 2009.
